Educational Trip to the Origins Centre at Wits University
On 15 August 2025, our Grade 8 and Grade 9 learners will embark on an exciting educational trip to the Origins Centre at Wits University. This tour is designed to align with the CAPS curriculum, supporting our History and Social Sciences learning outcomes. The Origins Centre offers a rich opportunity to explore the fascinating history of early humans in Southern Africa. Learners will be able to engage with interactive exhibits and authentic archaeological artefacts. The visit will enhance their understanding of human evolution, migration patterns, and cultural development. Through guided tours, learners will gain deeper insight into the role of Africa as the cradle of humankind. The experience will also strengthen their research skills through observation, note-taking, and inquiry-based learning. This educational outing will foster curiosity and critical thinking among our learners. It will also connect classroom theory with real-world historical evidence. The Origins Centre provides an inspiring space for learners to appreciate South Africa’s heritage and its global significance. We believe that this trip will leave a lasting impact on their academic journey. Our school remains committed to providing opportunities that shape future legends through quality, hands-on learning experiences.
